Garden Tiger Moth with Deep Green Velvet Background

This garden tiger moth is beautifully mounted in a 10x10cm frame on a dark green velvet background. A well loved resident across the UK, this striking nocturnal species is scientifically known as Artica caja. It is easily recognised by its chunky appearance and its dramatic brown and cream patterned forewings, which look exceptionally rich against the plush green texture. When threatened, the moth flashes its bright orange hindwings covered in deep blue-black spots, creating a bold, natural contrast that perfectly complements the dark velvet display.
