This White Banded Jewel Beetle is beautifully mounted in a 10x10cm frame on a plain white mount. Found in the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, this spectacular wood-boring specimen is scientifically known as Chrysochroa castelnaudi. It is highly prized by collectors for its elongated, robust body and its magnificent, metallic exoskeleton. The beetle is characterised by its deep metallic blue elytral wing covers, which feature a contrasting cream or white band. This luminous, iridescent coloration shifts under the light and contrasts sharply with the clean white backing, creating a striking and sophisticated work of natural art.
