This Madagascan sunset moth is beautifully mounted in a 18x18cm frame on a plain white mount. Native exclusively to Madagascar, this spectacular day-flying specimen is easily considered one of the most beautiful and impressive insects on earth. It is characterised by its breathtaking iridescent red, orange, yellow, and green scales that shift colour depending on the angle of the light. Unlike true butterflies, this moth belongs to the Uraniidae family and features delicate scalloped tails on its hindwings.
