Muslin moth in Round Dome

This muslin moth is beautifully preserved inside a clear round glass dome with a natural cork base, elegantly mounted on a slender acrylic rod to create a floating appearance. Found widely across England and the rest of the UK, this delicate nocturnal species is scientifically known as Diaphora mendica. It is characterised by its soft, fluffy appearance, with the females displaying translucent, milky-white wings dusted with fine black spots. This ethereal, ghostly palette suspended in mid-air gives the specimen a striking sense of weightlessness, turning a classic insect display into a clean, modern work of natural art.
