Speckled Yellow Moth in Dome

This speckled yellow moth is beautifully preserved inside a circular glass dome with a natural cork base, elegantly mounted on a slender acrylic rod to create a floating appearance. Found across woodlands and hedgerows throughout the UK, this day-flying species is scientifically known as Pseudopanthera macularia.

It is characterised by its vibrant bright yellow wings, which are heavily mottled with a dense pattern of dark chocolate-brown spots. This energetic, contrasting palette suspended in mid-air gives the specimen a striking sense of weightlessness, turning a classic insect display into a clean, modern work of natural art.
